I needed to create a quick theme in WordPress starting from scratch. Of course, by “scratch” I mean I wanted all of the required template files and CSS that could serve as a base for me to build my theme on top of.
I tried out a few different “base” themes that other sites suggested, but many of them weren’t quite basic enough. I ended up using the Basic theme to build my WordPress theme on top of, which ended up working out really nice.
